saving image

Ive created a header image for a website im creating. There is a few letters of text and 4 pictures all to form one image. It seems as if because the image wasnt created on the actual page that defaults there it wont save it. What do I do?

Hi,

Your header image surely has fixed and mandatory dimensions (like 800x200px). So you should go to File > Document properties, set the height and width of your document to that and change your drawing so that it fits inside before you export (using the "Page" button in the export window).

If your drawing has no fixed dimensions (which would be surprising considering your use case), then when you export to PNG, just select "Drawing" in the upper part of the window.
