How to select a designed logo pure as logo

Asked by Monique Gomez de Mesquita

I have made a logo in inkscape and saved it in .pgn.
When I open it again I open a white paper with the logo in the middle but I only want to save the logo separate so that I can use it in the website and on letters etc...

Can somebody help my what to do so that I can finish this project.

Thanks in advance,

Monique

Hi,

If you exported your drawing to PNG, the result is a bitmap file which Inkscape cannot manipulate as an SVG file. The shapes are not shapes anymore but pixels, and the image is treated by Inkscape as a whole, 1 object.

So you'd better use Inkscape's "own" file format, SVG, which keeps all the information about the drawing and allow you to modify it.

If you've not saved your drawing in SVG and don't want to redo it all, you can try to "trace" it, using the Path > Trace Bitmap menu (http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Trace.html). the result won't be perfect, moreover if you've used gradients or transparency, but can help.

Regards

Remember that while AI Logo Generator are convenient, they may not replace the expertise and creativity of a professional graphic designer for complex or highly customized design needs. Careful consideration and customization are key to selecting a logo that effectively represents your brand. Check https://blog.hidingelephant.com/best-ai-websites-for-logo-design/ for AI Logo Generator.
