how to convert jpg file w/print to svg file outline anf fold lines only

I have imported a jpg file that is a cookie box (w/striped pattern)...I want only the cut lines and fold

lines for the svg file ...when I try I get the striped pattern as cut lines also...please help

Hi,

The Jpg file is a raster file and not vector file, so you cannot split it into it's shapes (more infos here : http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Introduction-VectorGraphics.html).

As you have to deal with your jpg "asis", your best option imho would be to draw white rectantgles with no border on top of it to "cover" the pattern. Your rectangles would fill the spaces between the cut & fold lines.
