Merge multiple texboxs into one

I transfer my illustrator to inkscape.my text is spilt into sentences.
I need to combine those frames into one textbox.

In the stable release v0.48.4, one might have
to copy the text one by one from the other
text objects and pasting them into one.

It looks like next version will have
a text extension called merge.

Hi,

You can (on a copy !!!) try the following :

- go to edit > xml editor
- unfold your xml until you reach your text from line 1 (should be in a "<svg tspan id="12345">")
- unfold the next <svg tspan that should be your line 2
- cut/paste the content from the line 2 tspan to line 1 one

It's obviously a lot of work and more easy to do in a simple text edito, opening your (copy of) svg, but should be faster than copy/pasting the text visually in Inkscape.
