Inkscape

Program will not open

Mac OS X, downloaded program. Looked like it installed ok. Is in applications folder. Will not open when I select it.

I have quit all programs and restarted iMac computer.

Please advise.

You need to install XQuartz first, and you need to log out and back in
(or reboot) to properly finish the installation of XQuartz.

After that, when launching inkscape for the first time, it will likely
prompt you for the location of X11: browse to the 'Applications' folder
and select 'XQuartz' (this is the same as X11, but under a different name).

The first launch of Inkscape can take a while because it has to create
cache files for all fonts installed on your system.
