define "shadow" ?

If you mean 'non opaque', just lower opacity. If you mean 'blurred', just go to the fill&stroke panel and increase blur.
If you mean to also keep the text, just duplicate (ctrl+d), and move it a few in some direction. If you mean the combination of all this, just do it :)
