Super- and subscript text tool?

Asked by dpchem on 2008-01-31

Is there any way to create super- and subscripted text, i.e. smaller text positioned higher or lower the main text line? It would be great thing to know since it is neccessary for creation scientific content (mathematical, physical, and chemical formulas..). The only way I know is to change position of each symbol with Alt+ArrowUp/Down wich is quite tedious.

Thank you in advance,
DP.

Manual positioning is the only way for the time being. There is a feature request for it though: bug 170324

Until it gets implemented you can help yourself using grid so your baselines are aligned...

Can you help with this problem?
