Image saved in PDF missing

Are you able/allowed to share this PDF so we can test the same file?

I have attached 2 files. The original file was a PDF with 6 pages.
The SVG file shows the detail of the image. The PDF show just an outline.

Files are not posted to launchpad questions so I was wondering if you're able to share it through some other service, like dropbox, and post a link to it here so everyone can see it?

I have linked to bug #1199097 which seems to be a bug report of what you're experiencing.

I've recieved the PDF file through private email and I'm experiencing the same problem which makes me think that it's the bug linked to above. I'm sorry to say that I can't be of any more help, than to say that it's a bug.

Is exporting to bitmap an option for you or must it be PDF?

Exporting to bitmap is not an option.

Gust, maybe (long shot) you could try to open the SVG in Scribus, then export to PDF from Scribus (http://www.scribus.net, free, open source, Mac Lin Win).7

PS. Or in Inkscape, you could try to print to a PDF virtual printer (included in CUPS/linux, in Win, try PdfCreator, http://www.pdfforge.org/, FLOSS).
