How to maintain ratio when enlarging drawing

When I enter a new X or Y value to resize a drawing, how do I automatically adjust the other value to maintain the picture's original ratio?

There are two ways:
1. Click the padlock icon next to the W: entry at the top bar in the selector tool - this will cause all transformations in the selector tool to maintain the width-to-height ratio of objects.
2. Hold Ctrl while dragging the scaling handles.
