Destroyed document

I opened a35 page PDF and edited one of the pages. I then saved my work. Reopening the PDf now shows only the edited page. I cannot find the original 35 page document.
I am now in a bad situatuation,

Inkscape can only open one page at a time. If you need to edit only one page, you need to save the edited page to a separate file and recombine it using external tools.
