document properties

Asked by john hambrook

I am converting a dwg file to svg. In order to achieve, I import the file into Turbo Cad, take note of the size in inches, and save as an svg file. I then open the file in InkScape, and my instructions are to go under document properties, adjust the width and the height into pixels (10X #of inches)...Here is the issue...I am limited to 1,000,000 pixels width and height and I need 1.15 million pixels width and 1.21 million pixels in height.

How do I achieve this?

Hi,

Don't use pixels ! You can use inches and centimeters in inkscape !

Once you've imported your SVG, select all and in the toolbar, right next to the numeric fields is a selector with "px" by default. Change it to wathever you want ("in" for exemple...) and type the width/height of your drawing.

Regards
