how to crop a portion of work sheet

while working on an a4 size page, how to crop a portion (including layers) as an image (hi res)?

Hi,

I guess you're talking about a bitmap output.
1) draw a white rectangle, 21cm x 29,7cm (use the numerical fields), no border
2) set x and y to 0 with the numerical fields (or use align/distribute and center on x and y)
3) put this "invisible" rectangle in the background (END key)
4) with that selected, go to File > Export Bitmap and choose "Selection" (it should be selected by default). Set the dpi to 300 and you're good to go !
