delete a single line on image

Asked by Duncan Wood

Sorry, I am fairly new to Inkscape and I wish to remove a single line within my scanned image that I have imported and traced? I can highlight all the lines (which gives them nodes to alter) but I wish to remove or delete a single line only. Please can someone help?

I have only limited experience with Inkscape and never did vectorize a scanned image, but according to your description, I would suspect that the elements are currently all grouped together.
Therefore try to select the object and push Shift+Strg+G (or if you prefer pushing the mouse around: select ungroup in the objects menu). Then unselect everything and only select the line that you want to erase. It could also be the case that you have to repeat the above steps several times (if there are grouped objects within groups)

Can you help with this problem?
