The selector tool is not selecting, its showing a hand and an arrow and moving the document instead of selecting.

How do I get the selector tool to select. I've loaded a pdf created by cutepdf and I'm trying to select some objects to move but the selector tool is showing the arrow and a hand and moves the document around. I use Ctrl-Click to select a single object so I know there are objects there.

Your objects are grouped. Ungroup them first on enter the group with double click.
