Vectorzing text so it shows up on SVG

Asked by Kalle Asnk

Hello!
I send this question before but it seem like something glitched.

Anyhow, my question is how to vectorize text.
When i save it without vectorizing it it doesnt show up on the saved picture.
Do you have any tutorial or video on how to vectorize text?

I guess what you're saying is that the text doen't show up in an external application (file manager or browser). It may be due to the fact that each application that displays SVG does it with it's own way, so differences may appear. Inkscape itself is not perfect as its tool for multiline text is not standard. So what yoiu should do is indeed to vectorize your texts using Path > Object to path with the text selected. It has 2 drawbacks : the file size will be higher, and as your text is no longer text but paths, it cannot be edited as a text anymore. So you should keep a copy of the text version and vectorize your fonts on a copy of this file.
