Text and Icon size in the Inkscape interface

Asked by Howard Walker

In common with lots of graphics software, (Adobe Photoshop for instance) there seem to be no options for the visually impaired to change the text and icon size of the interface. Its a great program to run on a 22inch screen, but on a 17Inch 1920 x 1024 resolution Soni Vaio, its a none starter.

Is there no way for these items to be zoomable. The drawing area can be zoomed so why not the interface. If it cannot be zoomed, could it not have optional large icons in panels or similar. I have good vision with glasses, and can get down to the next to the bottom line on a UK vision check, but cannot distinguish the icons in Inkscape, which is a pity as it is such a great program to use on a big screen. Must be thousands around the world asking this question.

You can change the icon size of the toolbars in the inkscape preferences - interface.
Does this help or is 'large' still too small?

Missed that one. It solves the problem if I set all three icon size options to maximum.
Thanks a lot
