When will you fix the issue with Inkscape, XQuartz and Mountain Lion? Internet fixes do not work and are ver ambiguous.

Asked by Robert Duquette

When will you fix the issue with Inkscape, XQuartz and Mountain Lion? Internet fixes do not work and are ver ambiguous. I've spent hours looking for answers. A answer might be, there is no fix or Inkscape will only open in a XQuartz, X11 window. Maybe there is a apple script fix forthcoming? Is there directions to get inside XQuartz to tell it how to handle Inkscape?

Thank you,

Bob

Based on user feedback, Inkscape runs fine with XQuartz on Moutain Lion.

Hint: make sure to logout and log back in (or reboot) after installing XQuartz, to properly finish the installation.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with Inkscape, XQuartz, and Mountain Lion. It sounds frustrating to spend hours searching for solutions without success. While I don't have an immediate fix to offer, I recommend reaching out to the support communities for Inkscape, XQuartz, and Apple for assistance. They may have more specific guidance or troubleshooting steps tailored to your situation. Hang in there, and I hope you find a resolution soon.
