Default Units Throughout The Inkscape Interface

When you set the default units in the Document Properties dialog (to something other than pixels), none of the tool controls change to match the default units.

Shouldn't default units be default for the entire Inkscape interface?

Once you select the document units you must save the file and the units will be changed the next time you open the file. They aren't applied inmediately.
It isn't a very handy method, but it works. A more direct method (an easy way to save a default template directly from the interface and inmediate apply of units change) should be better.

tjvigil66: Don't worry, an option for easily manage units from UI is already in the wishlist.
