Imaginary box around my art

Every time I print out my art work there is an imaginary box around my art work. I need help clearing a imaginary box around my art work. The art work was downloaded from the internet.

If this is a raster image (JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF), then you need to use GIMP to remove the white background from the picture.

Can you help with this problem?
