Request for hotkey to hide all toolbars

Asked by nategerber

So. I Inkscape multiple times every day, and as a power user, the first thing I do is go through the entire "Show/Hide" submenu and hide everything (click by click). This takes an uneccessarily LONG time.

I want 2 things:

1) A hotkey that hides ALL tools/bars etc... give me JUST the blank canvas.

2) Interface persistence between launches.

Can this be done?

Developers claim that much more functionality will be available via keyboard shortcuts in the upcoming version of the InkScape (0.49):
