      CTRL+NUM#

My question...
Why you not made this yet ?

Notes:
- 'center', 'top,left', 'top,right', 'bottom, left' and 'bottom, right' do _not_ exist as individual buttons (with combined functions).
- How would you propose to handle e.g. the 'Relative to' option? The 'Align & Distribute' dialog offers more fine-grained control than the proposed mapping to the numpad keys.

Because no one with the necessary coding skills has had time and/or interest to rework the internals of the 'Align and Distribute' dialog? (Minimally required changes AFAIU: each individual 'align' feature needs to be implemented as separate verb (while still parsing the shared options available only in the dialog (relative to, as group)), to be able to get assigned a keyboard shortcut which is configurable (not every keyboard has a numpad (numeric keypad); other users might prefer (or already use) some of the numpad keys with the modifier 'Ctrl' for different frequently used commands))

Patches are welcome, otherwise please monitor progress in related feature requests like e.g.:

Bug #362360 “Feature Request : Two way Align Buttons”

But the keyboard have 101 keys, numerics is a just exemple.
I only suggested simple shortcuts to the buttons that already exists on the panel.
At least basics alignments help so much !
(top, bottom, left, right, v-center, h-center)
