How to draw horizontal line for an object

I'm trying to find an option to draw horizontal lines across object, for a defined color. Couldn't find any anything that does this. please help

Use bezier tool (Shift + F6) and click on one endpoint, then on the other. Holding Ctrl when setting the other point should make it precisely horizontal. To end at the second point press Enter.
