want to edit a pre existing tiff file for a business card do you have a tutorial

I have a existing tiff file that contains my business card info. I need to change some of the information on it. How do I access the Text so I can edit it. Thanks

In short: you can not. TIFF is a raster format which does not contain information about things which are behind the "text". Actually there is no text, it is just a few pixels using contrast colour.
But if the background is plain or contains a simple texture you might be lucky, you could use GIMP or Photoshop to erase the "text" using replace tool and healing tool.
