Error; failed to upload svg file

Hello there,
I have a small issue, I have created an svg file and saved it in my flash drive. I have managed to open it several times, save the updated work, and was all smooth until yesterday! When i now try to open the file i get the following message: XML Parsing Error: unclosed token
Location: file:///Users/Saidos/Desktop/GACR%202012/Figures/Gene%20drawings.svg
Line Number 3277, Column 9: <image --------^. The file size has also been reduced to 8kb from its original 2.5MB approximately...Other files in the flash drive are fine, but i'm still not sure if i can rule out the flash drive itself completely.
Any advice will be kindly appreciated.

Something interrupted saving the file, maybe you pulled the flash drive without properly ejecting it.
Your file is gone. Sorry.

Thanks mahfiaz, i will try to accept that and just remake the figure, luckily i dont have to start from scratch as i have intermediates backed up...
