measurment arrows

Asked by Agnieszka Gniado

I need to make measurment arrows. I want to show how big (mm) is the object I made in the same way like architects do on their work. They use an arrow with two arrow-heads, which is placed next to object. Next to the arrow, usualy they put a number in the middle of lenght of this arrow which shows how long or wide is an object. Do I have to create this arrow from the begining or maybe there is some help in Inkscape?

Inkscape ships with several introductions to basic & more advanced usage (see menu 'Help > Tutorials'). For detailed information on specific commands and tools, I would recommend to visit the online manual at <http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/> (the link is also listed in the 'Help' menu).

Can you help with this problem?
