Help on Inkscape Stamping Function

I saw a video tutorial where it is shown that Inkscape stamping function works on the bezier tool when the handle of the node is selected. But it is not going to work on my pc. Other stamping methods works, that is when moving something is involved. But moving the handle stamping function is not working. Is it really possible to create a pattern with rotating a line by selecting it's node handle?

This is the video I was talking about. But I got my problem solved. I was so involved in seeing the video that I overlooked the discussion below it. They said that it worked fine on inkscape 0.46, but is not working with the version 0.48, and I just updated my inkscape a few days ago. So there lies the problem.
