Using dran tools like rectangles,stars etc will not show drawings on page ?

Maybe your layer is locked for editing, look in the bottom left corner you'll see an eye and a lock icon next to the layer name. If the lock in the icon is closed (locked) you can't edit anything in that layer. Click on the lock icon to change the status (the lock will open) and try to draw

PrKos thanks thats a great tip, I see what you mean and tried that, I still have a problem, when I goto draw any shape a square box appears with broken lines ?

If I goto draw with hte calligraphic pen it doesnt draw, when you click and drag on page a red shape follows where I drag but page is blank ?

I am sure its something simple

Oh just a thought, is the program compatable with Vista ?

Make sure the fill and or stroke of your calligraphy pen is not transparent or white...
that is probably why nothing is appearing on the screen...

Well I have learned two things from you guys thank you

I found the problem,and it was simple

If I click on View, then display mode, then normal

then use my select tool and select a shape

its working

always something simple
