Google gave nothing?

If you call that kind of answer helpful you clearly know nothing about promoting your product. Of course I searched on Google before I had the audacity to bother you; but all I kept getting was an out-of date-plugin by Adobe that won't work on 64 bit machines. If you know the answer then why not keep it (and others) stored in a document ready to cut and paste in response to awkward people like me?

You probably didn't know you can exclude keywords in google by prefixing these with - (minus).
So when you search for "windows svg preview -adobe" you get no adobe related results, much less noise.

Actually Mahfiaz I am 62 years old with a PhD and two Master's degrees, one in computing systems. It is likely that I was learning about Boolean operators before you were born! I asked a simple question. The simple, easy, straight-forward way through this, and for you to fulfil your allotted task, would have been for you to answer in one of the following two ways:

1. Sorry, no we don't

2. Yes we do - and here's the link to it

Instead you seem to have gone out of your way to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Which OS do you use? On Linux and Mac OS X, the file managers provide previews of SVG files using their own modules (linux) or with help of the web browser (Mac OS X).

MS Windows seems to be the only OS which doesn't want to add such a feature to its native file manager (Explorer), which strikes me increasingly as odd since IE now has much improved SVG support.

The Inkscape project does not provide plugins for any platform to be used with file managers for previewing (thumbnails) of SVG files. As far as I know there are no plans to add such a module or plugin (e.g. for MS Windows Explorer), but - as with other open-source projects - this completely depends on whether some skilled developer gets interested (for whatever reason), picks up the request and implements a solution (e.g. based on Inkview, the slide show module of Inkscape).

Last time I did some research for this, I do recall that there exists a (commercial, or shareware) plugin for IrfanView to allow to view SVG (as well as browse folders with thumbnail previews).

Here is a recent related feature request:
Bug #822178 “Thumbnail preview icons on Windows”
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/822178>

Can you help with this problem?
