I don't have option for Latex formula or text tex in Extension/Render, I am a Linux user.

You need to have latex packages installed. Inkscape enables only these plugins, for which dependencies are met.
You will see more information when you type to terminal inkscape and press enter.
The package name you are looking should be textlive-latex
