I can't get the line spacing to change in my text

I have two lines of text and can't them to move closer together. I've tried using the line spacing under fonts, but I can't get it to move. I've also tried Alt+up arrow and down arrow, and Ctrl+Alt+<. I've selecting it and highlighting it.

Press F1 and select the text, then try to cahne line spacing under fonts.
or
Start editing text, place cursor to the beginning of second line, press Alt+Up.
or
Split text into two text objects and move these as you find suitable.

How do you do this in 0.92? That option has been removed and when using the new control it won't go to single spacing between the lines of text. This is horrible.
