images do not cut precise

I took an image through inkscape but when it cut it did not come out precise. it was a scallop and the cut scallop was uneven

I scanned a scalloped image into inkscape, when I cut it out it had uneven

I don't know what you are doing, but to fix up scanned image, GIMP is probably the best free tool around.
