Error message when trying to open an EPS

Asked by Anna McCullough

I'm running the latest stable version of Inkscape for Windows. I have Ghostscript installed and it's in my PATH .. yet, I get this error message (or a very similar one) when I try to open or import an .EPS:
" Error reading temporary file: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'c:\\users\\graphi~1\\appdata\\local\\temp\\tmpzxefhp.svg' "

followed by "Failed to load the requested file C:\Public\Vector Logos\eps files\[filename].eps"

Path reads as follows: %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\DLLShared\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\10.0\DLLShared\;C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.64\lib

Any thoughts? Running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.

Thanks for any ideas!

Anna
