How do I save as a gif, jpg or bmp image

Asked by Abimbola Babalola on 2011-08-17

I tried to export a file but I realized I could only do that as a .png file. How can I export images as jpeg, gif or bmp? I also want to know how to manipulate the trasparency tool like you would with Corel Draw or Adobe photoshop.

Hello,

The only bitmap format Inkscape can export to is PNG. If you need to export to JPG, GIF or BMP, export to PNG first, open the PNG with a bitmap editor (such as Gimp) and export it to the format you need.

Regards.

Thanks! I just got GIMP and it's ok.
