How do I break apart a line where another line intersects it?

Asked by Tuxlar

See title. Actually, I need both intersecting lines to be split at the intersection point, but I can work with just one.

There's probably a more elegant way but ... you can just duplicate one path, then push the duplicate to the top, select the duplicate and the other path and do Path > Cut Path. Voila!

You could of course duplicate both paths and thus cut each path with the duplicate of the other path.

Another option for you is to use snapping, snap a new point to the path intersection, then split the path at that point.

HTH.

Alright, 'Cut path' seems to work, though I'll need to play around with it a bit more. Thanks!
