dimension lines

Asked by plotling essuressDavid A. Wilson

How do I show the length of a line or the size of a rectangle as it is being drawn?

Apparently, nobody knows.

I would think that there would be a command button that instructs "Show Size".

No need to be snarky, we're not your servants.

If you draw with the "bezier tool" then the footerbar ("status bar") gives a live update of the angle and the length of the line segment you're currently drawing. If you draw a rectangle then you get the same info but for the width x height.

Apparently the information shown is always in pixels (px) rather than being in the chosen units (looks like a bug to me!).

Is there a possibility to create dimension lines near the drawed objects?

Can you help with this problem?
