I want to draw exact angles

Asked by steve aston

I need to be able to draw precise angles of intersection between two lines e.g. 75°. Is there a way of doing this quickly (i.e. other than drawing then measuring afterwards?

I can think of two options for you in inkscape. Set a guide at 75deg and use that to draw the intersecting line and then just displace the line to appropriate position. Or, use the ctrl-locks-angles feature and draw straight line sections using the bezier tool with your angle step set to 5deg (File> Inkscape Preferences... > Steps > Rotation snaps every ...).

HTH.

If you're trying to draw geometric diagrams then one of these geometry apps might be better:

If you're drawing floor-plans then I'd try SweetHome3D.

Can you help with this problem?
