Hi,

Is there an auto guide that assists with the set up of 2 UP, 4 UP, etc that automatically makes the border allowances for cutting?

I'm unsure what "4-up" means, I guess is just a DIN A4 splitted in four parts?

Try Extensions->Render->Guides creator. That will give you a way to split the paper in even parts.
If you want printing/cutting marks use Extensions->Render->Printing marks.

I upgraded to the latest version and took your advice and it works perfectly.
