After saving my project, all the pictures have come up with "linked image not found".

Asked by Stephanie kamp

All my photos have "Linked image not found". I used images that I copied from the internet and pasted them into my document. How do I avoid this?

Thank you

Hello,

Images imported in your SVG drawing are linked from their location on your hard disk. Thus if you move them on the disk, the link is broken.
The only way to get rid of it is to embed the images instead if linking them.
As of 0.48, there's a dialog that allows you to select embedded or linked when importing images. But if you use an older inkscape version, you need to use Extensions>Images>Embed images.

Please refer to the manual for details on this topic (http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL_v16/html/File-Import.html).

Regards.
