I want to make an SVG file five times bigger than its current size (expand from 100px to 500px).

Asked by Leroy Graham

I have an image that's 100 pixels wide, but I'd like to enlarge the image so I can make it 500 pixels wide. I'd like to know how to perform this move. Thank you.

I suggest the following.
* Open the SVG file in Inkscape.
* Select all objects in the document (menu item Edit > Select all).
* From the toolbox on the left choose the selection tool (the topmost tool, the black arrow, key F1).
* In the tool controls bar at the top you should see X coordinate, Y coordinate, widht, and height of the selection.
* Lock the aspect ratio of the selection with the lock icon in the tool controls bar.
* In the entry box for the width in the tool controls bar, enter five times the value it contains. Then press Enter.
* That's it. You might have to reposition the selection.
Hope that helps.
