File > Vacuum Defs will get rid of parts of the code that don't relate to used visuals.

Save as svgz will zip the text into a compressed form.

You could swap out any raster/bitmap graphics with smaller versions (filesize) of the same.

Hello,

You can also save as Optimized SVG. It allows you to choose which parameters are optimized and should reduce the file (if created with Inkscape) by at least 30%.
Unfortunately there's no Compressed Optimized SVG export option, but maybe saving as Optimized and then as SVGZ would give an extra reduction...

Regards.
