I can't access the scanner from Inkscape. Example, Photo Shop has a scanner button under thte Import button.
I have checked the connections, scanner works on other programs.

Hello,

There's no scanner interface in Inkscape, and the only way to use a scanned document consists in using another tool (Gimp works perfectly) and import the resulting bitmap in Inkscape.
