I don´t see anything at all

Asked by Veronica

Hi, I'm a new user with inkscape. I've been working with it and I like it, but today I've been trying to draw a simple rectangle and it doesn't show anything at all. I checked the background and foreground colors and they are different as white, and I even uninstalled and reinstalled inkscape but I'm stil having lthe problem. I don't know if I pressed some command or did something that made this. I tried to do something with the pencil and the same. I saved the file as svg and opened with firefox but I'm getting a white page. When I select everything from the page I can see that there are objects there, because of the selection outline. I appreciate any help, because I don't know if I'm the only one with this issue (haven´t found anything (forum) like this yet). Thanks a lot in advanced

Upload the file to an online file store and share the link then someone can look and see if there is anything wrong in the file.

Did you also check the opacity setting of the objects as well as of the layer they are in (in the 'Layers…' dialog?

Object (master) opacity
<http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Attributes.html>
Layer opacity
<http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Layers.html#Layers-Dialog>

Hi!!

Thanks a lot... For some reason I had the color with opacity... the layer was fine, but not the colors settings. I checked the layer's opacity before, but I didn't realized about the color... my mistake. The link helped me work it out.
