Problem with image when converted to pdf.

Asked by Meghan Dougherty

I created a drawing of a lotus flower using Bezier lines and white fill by drawing half of each petal, duplicating, then flipping it horizontally and lining it up with the other half, and layering the petals on top of each other. I copied the image to a word document, then converted the document to PDF. In both Inkscape and Word, the image looked fine, but in PDF there is a line going down the center of each petal, marking the fip-line. This is not a problem with layering - the petals I placed at the front and on top of the other petals remain there. Does anyone know why, and what I can do to remove it?
Thanks, Meghan

To remove the overlap when you FLIP the other side of the flower petal.
Select both sides of your petal and use the >Path >Union command..
This will collapse your two sided petal into one object and not two overlapped objects, eliminating the LINE going down each petal.

Can you help with this problem?
