What operating system (OS) are you using.

Have you purchased the fonts already, what format are they in (what's the file extension, eg .ttf or .otf, etc.).

In basic terms you should just install the fonts for your OS to use and Inkscape will find them. I gather it filters out poor quality fonts in some way so it might be best to mention the specific font name and where you got them from.

Hi pbhj and thank you for wanting to help me.
Being kind of new to computers I would guess that OS is operating system.  The pc has Vista if thats wat u want to know?  Another friend gave me a link for the Cooper Black font and I did intstall it.  When I view it all I see is a complete page of the A,B,C's big n small.  Don't know what to do now.  Help....  Danny  :+}

I have not purchased any fonts online yet.  Guess I thought I could download them from a free site.  I am very new to most everything.  If I must purchase them please advise.  Thanks  :+}

First of all, have you installed the fonts?

The fonts are installed copying the font files you have into C:\windows\fonts or from Windows Control Panel (follow this tutorial: http://www.myfonts.com/support/help_install_win.html)
