how can i add font in inkscape?

Inkscape uses the fonts installed on your system. To add a new font, quit Inkscape, install the font using the appropriate tools of your platform (note: on Windows, you have to actually _install_ a font - just dropping it into the 'Fonts' folder does not fully install it) and restart Inkscape. The new font is now available in the font drop-down list (note II: some symbol/glyph fonts like wingdings are not recognized by Inkscape on Windows platforms).

If this doesn't work for you, please provide more information about your platform, Inkscape version and the font you want to install.
