Medion tablet unreadable (Windows)

Asked by Dave

I'm using a Windows PC and a Medion brand tablet. After a few tries with Inkscape, I noticed that the program will not accept any input whatsoever from the tablet. The Input Devices option shows square text as a device and does not have any axis besides the regular 1 and 2. Drawing in Inkscape seems to be a problem in the first place.

Any help would be nice.

Hi! In your Inkscape preferences there is an item under 'Mouse' a checkbox that says 'use pressure sensitive device' uncheck this and configure using 'input device' from the regular menu.
Always quit Inkscape and restart it using the pen to see the results of your fiddling ... You might have to pick one or the other for each session, specially if your mouse is an aftermarket souped up mouse that loads its own process or service.

Can you help with this problem?
