Seamless Patterns Have Fine Lines In Between Tiles

I have some seamless patterns I got from openclipart but when i tile them there is a fine line in between each tile.
this happens with any pattern i try - am i doing something wrong?

No, it's a known issue with the renderer - see bug #165780 “Pattern Gaps”

There are some mentioned in the bug report (or its duplicates):
- use a different SVG renderer like Batik (Squiggle) to export to PNG
- place a copy of the object below with a custom fill color similar to the pattern
- duplicate the object and slightly offset the copy (use 'Alt+cursor' keys to fine-tune)
- … there may be other workarounds I'm currently not aware of

Would a tiny bit of blur also work?
