Could you add links to the SVG specification sections you have been reading which are detailing the features you don't find implemented in the current Inkscape version?

Please note that the SVG 1.2 specification is still in Working Draft state - implementing new features based on it would have high risk to be obsolete once the final recommendation is out (as happened e.g. with the 'Flowed Text' implementation Inkscape uses based on an earlier working draft for SVG 1.2).

More current version of the SVG 1.2 (W3C Working Draft 27 October 2004) - Rendering model:
<http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-SVG12-20041027/rendering.html>

The same section in the current SVG Tiny 1.2 Specification (W3C Recommendation 22 December 2008):
<http://www.w3.org/TR/SVGMobile12/render.html>
(The SVG 1.2 Full specification will be described with a dependency on SVG 1.2 Tiny, and will be a strict superset of SVG 1.2 Tiny).

@JazzyNico - do you think this should this be filed as Wishlist report or would it be more adequate to start a new blueprint for supporting modifications to the rendering model in SVG 1.2?
