Can I restore broken image links

Asked by Andrew Dilley

I have moved my InkScape file and the images linked to it to another folder. This has broken all the image links. Is there any way that I can click on the missing image and reestablish the link? I don't want to embed the images in the file.

Hi Andrew,

The image link can be restored by right-clicking on the image and selecting Image Properties in the menu. Then change the URL attribute to link the image to the appropriate path.
You can also use the XML editor (Edit>XML Editor) and replace the xlink:href attribute of the svg:image element.

Regards.

I think that Scribus has an automated tool built in for retying images with their placeholders - that would be useful, do a "find" under a chosen dir for the particular image filename.
