You can install the linux-style command line version of Inkscape yourself using MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/>.

The Inkscape binary included in the relocatable Mac OS X application bundle you may have downloaded from sourceforge does not provide the exactly the same interface as on linux, but - if you accept to use wrapper scripts and full pathnames for the files used as command line arguments - you can get quite close to how you would use it on linux.

Can you help with this problem?
